IM BACKK! First day of school

HEYYY! IM BACK ON BLOG SPOT!!! And i timed it with the start of a new school year. I missed you guys. I did. I just couldnt blog with out a camera.. My own camera at least. This week. I will get a new camera :D and take a lot of pictures for you. New school year is a new me.

Inspiration: easy going 1920's boy.

Location: H&M on fifth Ave
Outfit:
Grey short sleeve t-shirt American Apparel
Necklace: Forever21
Belt: Unknown
Trousers: Thrift from housing work
Shoes: Payless
Bag: Uniqlo mens $39.90

I've stop going out to clubs and spending a lot on weekends. I will spend more time online updating my looks, food finds and other interesting things. Hopefully, you'll find them interesting too. I view the world very differently. Why would i say that? People generally are looking at things in a broad sense, but I on the other hand, like to look at things with details. Basically, I watch people and their personality.

Today on the train. On 71st-Forest Hill train stop, a elder with bright orange hair placed on top of her head in a bun with a clip, green short sleeve crew neck t-shirt, with dress pants, denim LV bag and orthopedic shoes walked in. She was walking back in forth looking for a seat. A young man stood up and gave her one after 2 mins of watching her fidgeting. Later a group of mexican came through the train cart and started to perform. She was the only one that grabbed her change out very fast, next to the elder Jewish man next to me. As they say, "generosity is contagious." I pulled out my change too.

At first when i looked at this lady, she look very grumpy. Instead, she was a very compassionate women. Never had i seen a fellow commuter shed out dears for a Mexican band. She took off her sport glasses and raised the newspaper to cover her tears. She shook of the tear and put down her newspaper. Made a small speech, something about how every cent they make here, they sent it back to Mexico. But, the mexican will always struggle to meet ends. It's true and i agree. Immigrants have it the hardest.

Well, Thank you Orange hair lady. For showing me that there are people out there that have it harder than us. Makes me very appreciative of life.

LAST WEEKS OUTFIT..

I was in a hippie mood.

+J Black and white

At first I thought Stephen was weird, because he asked me to be a model in his photo shoot. I didn't know Stephen before the shoot. I just found out his was an associate in Uniqlo, in the denim section. He's a cool dude, def love his photography and where he's going with it. Anyway, here is the one picture that came out great. Haha the only picture where I look serious and cool. I'm a bit of a narcissist, but I still have a big heart. I love my cat to death, I would rather run around the forest with the animals than work.

Here is an outfit from +J week at Uniqlo, we all had to wear black, BOOOHOOO it was like a funeral.

1. Express one shoulder top ($10)
2. American Apparel black hot disco pants (Birthday Present)

Thrifting experience 1

I realized i havent uploaded pics or a blog for the longest time. So this is a multiple session of blogs in one day..

Where to start? Well on February 27th, me and my friends (Katlin and Luey) went on a thrifting adventure in Housing Work Ware House. There were so many pile of clothes since it was their warehouse. At first we were were baffled as to what we were suppose to do. Never had we seen so many people, rummaging in clothes and stuffing it in black plastic bags. After 15 minutes of uncertainty, we loosed up and dug right into the pile of clothes. We found a lot of designer stuff, vintage items and etc.

Break down of the event was, basically stuff what ever you can into a brown bag for $20! YES 20 DOLLARS!

Happy survivors. The two bags on the left are mine.

Strategy:
1. Find a big bag / bring your own big bag.
2. (wearing gloves) JUMP INTO THE PILE OF CLOTHES AND DIGGGG
3. Stuff into big bag
4. After digging & stuffing, sort out the items you like.
5. Perfect fold everything down.
6. Stuff into the paper bag.
7. Walk out happily.

1. United Color of Benetton blue linen shirt (Thrift)
2. Top Shop Pink lace scarf ($5)
3. Uniqlo high rise blue denim pants ($9.99)
4. Random Poncho from Je Dero ($8)

Uniqlo Spring 1

Uniqlo fashion is changing i love their new spring items. They are going for this loose look, sorta edgy too.
I'mma rock it. I"m still in my grudge 80's look and its comfortable to wear oversize sweater and black leggings and pants. But i got tired of just leggings, so i ripped up a pair of Uniqlo leggings ($10.50) and these are the results. I was inspired by Americans ripped tights, which were like $20. I was like. I CAN DO IT MYSELF! And i totally saved a lot of money too.

I am going to carry my dad's camera every day and make random people take my pictures. I want to update as much as possible. (scroll down to the blog below to see my club outfits :D)

Special thanks to my friend Rhamier please visit his blog. He's a aspiring new designer :D

Grandma Betsy: Terribly good/Terribly bad day

Two days before Thanksgiving, 3 days before Black Friday.

I must tell you guys, I was lacking inspiration for the past couple weeks. Until I stumbled into a young designer market in SOHO i think it was on elizabeth st. It was so nice in there, young talent, beautiful jewerly, belts, bags all handmade. I wanted to buy everything in the market. But I couldnt because I'm broke from two big shopping sprees. HAHA

So here is what I love about Tanger outlet mall, They have a Betsy Johnson retail store. I said it. Things on that store is on sale, it could be cheaper but ehh what can you do about it.

So here is my look of the day (I always dress up when I go to work at Uniqlo):

Betsy Johnson knitted Dress $81, Leggings from dad's closet

Then I tried practicing the "tricks" I learned from Tyra.
"Smile with your eyes"
"Be FIERCE" (I think I just look pissed off)

Special Thanks for the week:
~Thank you DeeDee for driving, I love riding in your bf's Lexus
~Thank you Franklin for inviting me into LOOKBOOK.NU (YES I POSTED A LOOK. and I still need to upgrade from a macbook camera)
~Thank you Sergio for doing my lovely make up today. He's a Mac professional artist.

Explanation of title: I had a really tough day, I had extreme luck and extremely bad luck at the same time. You guys are going to laugh at this. I made donuts for my coworkers at Uniqlo, when i got on the bus to the city, it got hit by a truck. Then I had to wait for the second bus. In which I tripped up the stairs. Not only that i also had the subway door closed on me, like physically. Got two bitchy costumers with returns.
+side of today: Paulsta liked my donuts, I meet Gina from Project runway. YESS SHE WAS SHOPPING! I made new friends :D

Look 3: Think Pink fashion show

Today I went back to my High School, they were hosting the 5th annual THINK PINK FASHION SHOW! The show donates the money they earn to Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). October is the month of Breast Cancer Awareness, thus the pink everywhere! If you really want to donate money to help find the cure for Breast Cancer, donate to BCRF. Don't donate to American Cancer society, because their society focuses on advertising and awareness then giving money to institutions to find cures. BCRF "A minium of 85 cents of every dollar donated goes to research and awareness programs." BCRF was founded by Estee Lauder! Isnt that cool?

I was the head coordinator of last years shows with my other two co-coordinators. I'm very please at the shows turn out, I just wish some of the dress were more appropriate (ie: some dress were cutoff at the butt, so when the models walked is saw it rising up up and up, at least have some decency to put on some leggings for this is a high school show.) I'm very proud of the twins and Katherine, I chosen those three to be my successor, they did a fab-tastic job! Ughh I had the hugest urge to get off my seat and walk the walk on the stage. LOL. One of these days I'll upload my walk. Its fierce and no one can stop it!

Well here is my outfit taken by my macbook on the side.... I really need someone to take pics of my outfits ROFL
Red purple knitted checkered scarf (Borrowed from a friend)
Purple diamond plaid v neck halter tank top (Target $3)

Fashion look 2: Grudge

So today I needed to go to my high school to get letters of recommendations from my teachers, I woke up freezing cold. My family doesn't like to turn on the heat unless it is necessary. I pulled on my black skinny jeans from pac sun (2 for $55) rampaged through my mothers drawer of pajamas and closet of shoes and my grandmothers closet of vest and this is the outfit i came out with.
Over sized hensey long sleeve shirt and gray plaid vest with very old leather boots.
sorry if these are bad pics, I couldnt find my camera or have any long mirrors..

So there is always a mini story behind my outfits, todays story is a troubled young boy from the 80's living in downtown NY. He is having trouble fitting in with other social class and other kids. He just wished people to be able to understand his cynical lyrics with sweet melody rock.

Well, Rate this outfit. See you soon bye. (I need a nap in the middle of the day.)
